That's the Rogue River winding it's way to the Pacific Ocean which can be seen below the brightest portion of the sky. The lowest land point on the right is the mouth of the river with the town of Gold Beach to it's left.

The sun setting behind the hills to the west of our cabin. This hill was recently clear-cut but they left a line of trees standing along the ridge - almost like a "Mohawk" haircut.
