Lunar Eclipse - September 27, 2015
A "blood moon" full lunar eclipse, viewable from most of North America, occurred on September 27, 2015. This photo was taken at 7:39 PM, slightly after the moon rose over the hills outside of Northport, Washington, located on the Columbia river a few miles south of the Canadian border. The night sky had not yet lost all residual color and stars were just beginning to become visible.
